Everyone loves red velvet cheesecake. There are two reasons why red velvet cheesecake is as famous as it is. It has to be because of the texture and consistency between the ingredients. The red velvet cheesecake is enticing as it offers the best of both of the worlds, a cheesecake, and a cake.

What makes the red velvet different from any traditional cake batter like chocolate is the ingredients? The red velvet batter contains vinegar and butter. Hence, the acidity present in this combination reacts with the cocoa. That extra element of tang is what adds the x-factor to the red velvet cheesecake.

 How To Make A Red Velvet Cheesecake?

Since it involves making a cheesecake and a cake, you can start by making the vanilla cheesecake. As it is a cheesecake, you can make one day before making the cake. You will also bake both the red velvet cake and cheesecake in the same baking pan to avoid size discrepancies.

For The This You Will Need:

Fist, for the vanilla cheesecake layer you will require these ingredients-

  • 24oz of cream cheese at room temperature
  • One cup of sugar
  • Three tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Four large eggs at room temperature

Red Velvet Layers:

  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • Two cups of sugar
  • One and one-fourth teaspoon of baking soda
  • Half teaspoon of baking powder
  • Four teaspoons of natural unsweetened cocoa
  • One teaspoon of salt
  • Two large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of white vinegar
  • Four teaspoons of red food coloring
  • One cup of hot water
  • For The Cream Cheese Filling-
  • 16oz of cream cheese at room temperature
  • One and one-fourth cups of butter at room temperature
  • Twelve cups of powdered sugar
  • Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 6oz of white chocolate chips
  •  Red Ganache
  • 6oz red Wilton candy melts
  • Three tablespoons of heavy whipping cream
  • Sprinkles

Making The Red Velvet Cheesecake

Preheat the oven to 300F and line the baking pan with an aluminum foil. You can start mixing cream cheese, sugar, and flour in a bowl. Next, in the cheesecake mix, is sour cream and vanilla extract. Continue by adding the eggs, one after the other. Pour the mix into the pan. Place it in a larger pan with water and set it to baking for an hour.

To make the cake layers, follow the next set of instructions. The cake mix will need the flour, sugar baking soda, baking powder, cocoa, and salt in a bowl. After mixing this, add the buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, eggs, vinegar, and red food coloring in another bowl and mix it well. Bake the cake in two layers for the cheesecake.

To make the frosting, you will have to add cream cheese, butter, and sugar. After mixing this well, add the vanilla extract. To build the cake, you will alternate between the cake and frosting. First goes the cake, then the frosting and then cake again. You will turn this over on the cheesecake. The red velvet cheesecake is ready to decorate, serve, and relish.
